Name: Chocolate Pie

Ingredients: 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips; ½ cup sugar; 3 eggs; 1 cup hot milk; 2 tbsp brandy, rum, almond, or orange liqueur; 3 oz cream cheese, softened; ⅓ cup powdered sugar; 1 tsp vanilla; 1 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped; 1 pastry shell, 9-inch, baked and cooled

Method

In a blender, combine the chocolate chips, sugar, and eggs. Blend.
Add the hot milk and liquor and blend at medium speed until the mixture is smooth.
Pour half of the chocolate mixture into the bottom of the pastry shell and put into the freezer.
Blend the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
Fold a small amount of the whipped cream into the cheese mixture, then fold in the remainder.
When the chocolate mixture in the freezer cools, layer the cheese mixture in the pastry shell.
Top with the remainder of the chocolate mixture.
Chill thoroughly before serving.

For the liqueur, use 2–4 tablespoons of brandy, rum, almond, or orange liqueur, to taste.
