Butter Tart Bars

Method

Crust

1. Combine the flour, butter, white sugar, and salt in a food processor for several seconds until the mixture is crumbly.

2. Press the mixture into a 9x13-inch pan and set aside.

Filling

1. Combine the beaten eggs, softened butter, salt, vanilla, brown sugar, coconut, raisins or currants, and flour.

2. Pour the mixture evenly over the crust and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 minutes.

3. Cool completely, then cut into squares.
